Neil Pymer

A director working in film, animation & interactive.
I'm a freelance director who primarily works in the wonderfully diverse and innovative interactive department at Aardman. I have an interest in film, interactive design and animation and specialise in projects that are difficult to achieve, probably haven't been attempted before, that educate, bring about change and have strong narratives and characters at their heart... ideally all of the above!!
Recent projects include an animated music video for Jamie Cullum’s song Age of Anxiety, What’s Up With Everyone - a set of films looking to increase mental health awareness in young people, BBC iReporter which teaches young adults to navigate the murky waters of fake news and StorySign an interactive experience that teaches deaf children to learn how to read which recently won White, Wooden & Graphite D&AD awards, four Gold Cannes Lions and a BAFTA nomination.
I also talk at festivals and run workshops for students and professionals alike at Aardman Academy, D&AD, BFI, NME Lifehacks and the Princes Trust by inspiring them to fail fast, think like children and to get their hands dirty.
